First, I do not make “campaign promises”. I make promises. If I tell you I am going to do something, I will either accomplish it or come back and explain honestly why I could not. … and I will not BS you. I’m comfortable enough in my own skin that, if I don’t know the answer, I’ll tell you.
Second, I will be available. Some elected officials avoid town halls and difficult conversations. I will not. Whether you agree with me or disagree with me, you deserve access to your senator.
Third, I will listen. Good ideas do not only come from Washington or Annapolis. They come from neighbors, teachers, farmers, workers, parents, and small business owners. If you bring forward a good idea that helps our district or our state, I will work to make it happen and make sure you get the credit.
Fourth, I will work across the aisle when it helps our community. Compromise is how government works. I believe in finding real solutions for real people, while never compromising my values or my integrity.
Finally, I will work every day to make you proud. You may not always agree with me, and that’s okay. But you will always know where I stand and why.
I promise you – if you trust me with your vote, I’ll have your back.
